Meet Jeff
Q & A
Why did you choose your profession?
I was placed in a position of leadership, and found that I had skills that had not been previously realized. I discovered that I enjoyed planning and coordinating activities and working with a variety of people with varying levels of skills and knowledge.
Who are your main influences?
Three specific managers come to mind specifically. Each has varying temperaments, but the primary similarity is the ability to be fair while being tough. I knew my responsibilities and I had their trust, but I also knew that if went outside the boundaries of my position that I would be called out.
What is your most significant accomplishment?
I was assigned to a project, in mid-November, to integrate a newly purchased company with the existing network. Management at the newly purchased company wanted integration completed by the end of December. I developed a schedule to review with stakeholders from both organizations to show that a December timeframe was not realistic and provided a realistic timeline that enabled the integration to move forward.
What tools do you use?
MS Office Professional suite, MS Project, Google suite, ServiceNow, and various project management tools.
What advice would you give someone just starting in your profession?
Be prepared! The best Project Managers accept all of the responsibility and none of the credit. Praise the team for successes and accept blame for the failures.

Testimonials
“Jeff has worked as my Project Manager on numerous important projects at Global Payments. Jeff successfully managed a significant cutover for our large Call Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This project involved transitioning from an on-premises telephony phone system to an Avaya phone system in a hybrid cloud environment with ConvergeOne Data Centers. The cutover included over 800 agents, 150 toll-free numbers, and more than 5,000 call flows. Jeff is not only an excellent Project Manager but also possesses strong technical skills. His commitment and enthusiasm, coupled with his diligent follow-up, ensure that projects are completed on time and often under budget.”
“F&D is a maturing organization and during Jeff’s tenure here, we definitely experienced growing pains. Jeff was always an advocate for growth, maturing and taking a logical look at a process to determine how we should move forward. Jeff has a deep understanding of managing infrastructure efforts and can “talk the talk” with engineers. Through our time working together, Jeff and I grew to be trusted advisors to each other.”
“I have known Jeff for nearly 9 years and have personally worked with him on many complex networking and technology projects at Global Payments. Jeff successfully built strong relationships and delivered many complex projects within tight timeframes. He has the ability to quickly grasp technical concepts, manage large teams of people, resolve roadblocks and drive his projects to fruition. Jeff’s dedication and commitment to excel made him an extremely valuable team member and I knew I could always count on him.”
